Chapter 1266: Trading the country with money

Chapter 1266: With money, trade in Jiangshan

"Thank you, Princess."

Nangong Shouzhong and others respectfully expressed their gratitude, and sat back one by one.

They said they were sitting, but all of them were still very reserved and dared to use half of their butts to dip them on the chair. Although the small table in front of them was decorated with delicious dishes produced by the imperial kitchen, whether they were color, fragrance or taste, no one was focusing on these foods.

They knew that the Crown Princess must be scolded.

Sure enough, after they all sat down, Su Jinpa continued: "Scholars, farmers, industry and commerce have always been the cheapest merchants, second only to slaves."

The first sentence of Su Jinpa's opening remark made the rich people present look like dirt.

But then, Su Jinpa said: "Actually, this sentence is biased."

"Businessmen are profit-seeking, although they are profit-oriented, they must admit that if a country and society have no business group, they are incomplete and even impossible to establish."

"The four major classes of scholars, farmers, industry and commerce all have their own meanings, and are indispensable for a complete country and society."

"Take the most common silk weaving as an example. Merchants pay money and hire peasant women to raise silkworms. The private peasant women can also raise them by themselves. After drawing silk, the merchants will purchase them. In this way, the merchants support the first batch of people, peasant women who raise silkworms."

"After purchasing silk, the merchants had to hire workers to process the silk weaving, so the merchants supported the second batch of people, the processing workers."

"After the silk quilt is processed, the merchant still needs to find someone to weave, so the merchant feeds the third group of people, the weaver."

"Silk becomes silk, and after dyeing, the merchants support the fourth group of people and dyeing workshops."

"This brocade came out and the merchants brought it to the market for sale, so that the people of Daqin can wear gorgeous clothes, show the demeanor of a great country, and show the prosperity of people's livelihood."

"This is just an industry. Others go to the fields to buy fruits and grains, and then transport them to bustling towns for sale. Although the prices of farmers have been lowered, merchants have successfully avoided a large amount of fruits, and the grains are rotten in the fields. If there are no merchants to purchase them in a centralized manner, ordinary people will find farmers' fields to buy at market prices, how much can they buy?"

"So merchants lowered prices, conducted centralized procurement and then transported them to other areas for sale. Although it seemed to be bullying farmers, the facts were just the opposite. It is precisely because of the existence of merchants that farmers dared to grow crops on a large scale, because farmers don't have to worry about not being able to sell them. There are always merchants who are willing to bid for purchases, bear cost risks and transportation, and lose risks to gain greater profits."

Speaking of this, Su Jinpa's phoenix eyes swept over the excited rich people present and said lightly: "Businessmen benefit the world, provide people with what they want, buy stones from the south mountain to fill the valleys of the north sea, and trade the country with money."

Finally, Su Jinpa ended with a famous sentence from Shen Wansanji.

This sentence is actually Shen Wansan's unintentional words after summarizing the nature and experience of merchants, but it is precisely because of this statement that should have been regarded as the Bible by merchants all over the world, which has become a knife that Shen Wansan personally gave to Emperor Taizu to slaughter his whole family.

Use money to trade the country.

Shen Wansan's original intention is that everything in the world, the needs of others, what others want, the stones in the south mountain, the valleys in the north sea, all of these are things that can be traded and traded, but the literal ambiguity of this sentence is too great.
