Chapter 7 The Tramp

The boss was taken directly to the police station.

"Tell me, what's going on?"

Chen Mu looked down at the boss's pale face: "Why did the body of a person who left your store yesterday appear in the wall of the guest room?"

The boss slumped down on the chair in the interrogation room, his face paler than the A4 paper on which he was writing the transcript: "Police, police officer, I really don't know anything! I did not see this woman leave, just because she didn't come down today.

After paying the money and the luggage was gone, I guessed that she left. I was wronged!"

Chen Mu kept observing his expression. The boss was not tall and looked a little timid. Although his expression was panic, he could not tell that he was guilty.

He asked in a deep voice: "Is there surveillance in the hotel? Why did you tell us she left yesterday?"

The boss scratched his head: "Yes, but I haven't seen it. I came here after my shift early this morning, and I didn't see the woman coming out, so I guessed that she might have left yesterday."

Chen Mu raised his eyebrows and asked the police to go over and call for surveillance.

The surveillance camera was quickly brought back. As the boss said, Guo Sisi arrived at the hotel the day before yesterday and has never left except for coming down to renew her room at noon every day. And the boss did come here early this morning.

Liu Binlei thought about the boss's reaction when she first arrived at the hotel, and still felt something was wrong. She couldn't help but ask: "Then why were you so nervous when we came in?"

"I, I..."

The boss stuttered for a while without saying anything. When he met the sharp looks of Chen Mu and Lin Jialuo, he gritted his teeth and muttered: "We have several ladies in the store."

Liu Binlei's mouth twitched and she looked at Chen Mu: "I'm going to check if there are any clues on Guo Sisi's phone."

Chen Mu nodded: "Let's go back to the scene and see if there are any results from forensic doctor Yan."

The two of them rushed back to the hotel. Yan Lingyun's work was almost finished.

Seeing her tired and solemn look, Chen Mu silently got into the car and took a can of coffee and handed it over: "Any clues?"

"No."

Yan Lingyun drank a gulp of coffee: "A lot of fingerprints and footprints were extracted at the scene."

Chen Mu was confused: "Huh?"

"I asked the waiters and they said that the hotel's cleaning work is very perfunctory. After the guests leave, they usually just change the bed sheets and toiletries, open the windows for ventilation, and do not do a comprehensive sweep."

Yan Lingyun sighed: "So the fingerprints collected in the room include those of the waiters, the deceased, and possibly previous guests. There is no need to register identity information when checking into this hotel, and many people are migrant workers from other places.

We can only compare them one by one."

Chen Mu pressed his eyebrows: "This is the only way."

The three of them were about to return to the police station when Liu Binlei called.

"Team Leader Chen, someone just called to report that an unknown object was found on the reef at the beach. It may be... a body."

On the other end of the phone, Liu Binlei hesitated to speak: "While I was on my way over, the bureau asked you, Lin Jialuo, and Sister Yan to rush over as well, suspecting that it might be related to Guo Sisi's case."

Another body found?

Chen Mu's expression became more and more tense.

The three of them went downstairs and got into the patrol car, and quickly arrived at the beach.

Liu Binlei and the others arrived just in time and saw that the police from the nearby jurisdiction had just put up the warning tape, while the fishermen were hiding far away, standing nearby and pointing, and not a single fishing boat could be seen around them.

Chen Mu stepped forward, showed his ID, and said politely: "Comrade, I am Chen Mu from the Municipal Bureau. What's going on on the rocks?"

"Team Leader Chen, I have admired you for a long time."

The policeman's expression suddenly became awe-inspiring, and he shook hands with Chen Mu. His expression was a bit hard to explain: "We have just received the report from the fishermen, and we are still trying to find a way to mobilize the boats. The coast guard has not yet

Reply."

With such a general description, it’s really difficult to confirm other than going over to check it out right away.

Chen Mu was silent for a moment, looking at the dark clouds gathering in the sky above his head, and slowly frowned: "It's too late to mobilize the ships, it's going to rain, so I can only go directly to take pictures and bring the body over."

Luo City is a coastal city, and there are many police officers who are good at water. A group of people were quickly mobilized. Yan Lingyun was worried about damaging the subject and the scene, so he also planned to apply, but he saw Chen Mu and Lin Jialuo also wearing life jackets.

.

"Just let us guys go down and make sure we complete the task well for Forensic Yan!"

Lin Jialuo tied the lifejacket straps with a smile. He looked at Liu Binlei next to him, who looked like she was facing an enemy. He stretched out his hand to pluck her hair: "Hey, don't be so nervous. It's not necessarily a corpse. Maybe it was just photographed on the rocks."

The fish and shrimps stink, have the fishermen got it wrong again?”

Liu Binlei glared at him: "Stop smiling so playfully and go do your job!"

Lin Jialuo also planned to tease Liu Binglei, but Chen Mu patted him on the shoulder. He immediately became serious, moved his limbs, and a group of police officers jumped into the cold sea water.

Liu Binlei looked over with some worry: "Sister Lingyun, can they make it in time? It's going to rain heavily soon..."

"It should be in time."

Yan Lingyun was not sure. The reef was a certain distance from the coastline, and the fishermen nearby apparently refused to cooperate after hearing that they were trying to transport something that looked like a corpse, so they hid far away.

If it's not a corpse, of course it would be best, but if it is...

Liu Binlei rubbed her sore eyes, took a bottle of mineral water and planned to go to the beach to wash her hands. When she squatted down, she suddenly saw a pale human face under the water.

A chill instantly surged up from her back, and her body lost control instantly. Liu Binlei could hardly even scream, her body tilted and she almost fell into the sea.

"Bing Lei?"

Yan Lingyun sensed something was wrong and quickly stepped forward to grab her: "Why..."

"Sister Lingyun, get down, get down..."

Liu Binlei pointed at that face, her lips were trembling so much that she could not speak.

Yan Lingyun looked in the direction of her finger and saw a human face lying quietly in the sea.

At the same time, the phone in her palm vibrated.

Chen Mu's heavy voice came from the receiver: "The unknown object on the rock is indeed a corpse. Next to it are the clothes of the deceased. It should be a male homeless man."
