Chapter 19: Pot of Heaven(1/2)
At night, Changlan City becomes lively again.
People were missing for several consecutive nights, which made the prefect furious, and all the officials and houses in the government felt like they were facing an abyss.
The pressure is transmitted from layer to layer, and at the execution level, it directly develops into fireworks all over the city.
In the huge Changlan City, at one time, there was a post every three steps and a sentry every five steps.
Patrol soldiers are all over the streets and alleys.
In this noisy atmosphere, Mo Chuan and Abbot Tianbao were sitting around a table in a small courtyard of a private house in the west of the city.
Also accompanying me was a wandering Taoist priest named Yi Gan.
This man is about fifty years old, with a broad face, big ears, and a thick beard. He always holds a jade tablet in his hand, and he is calm and dignified.
According to Abbot Tianbao, Yiqian Taoist priest is quite famous in the Jinzhou area. He worships the truth and fights secret techniques with his own hands, and has killed countless demons.
When I came to Changlan City, I was determined to establish a Guan sect, so I was very concerned about the evil spirits in the city.
After all, if you know that the government favors you, you will get twice the result with half the effort!
At this time, there was a lot of noise outside the courtyard, and there were three old gods in the courtyard, drinking tea and discussing Taoism.
Abbot Tianbao is obviously very interested in Fuluan Temple Patriarch.
There are many inquiries in the words.
Mo Chuan couldn't answer questions, so he could only answer selectively.
Even so, Abbot Tianbao was still amazed.
Especially for the scene of "asking for a sword in the void", I repeatedly questioned and analyzed every detail.
After a long time, he sighed and said:
"Lao Na heard that there is a saying from the Taoist sect: a method is found in the Tao, a technique is found in the method, and it will last forever! It seems that the founder of Fuluan Temple is an extraordinary ghost and immortal!"
Mo Chuan's heart moved and he quickly asked: "May I ask the Master, is there something special about this?"
"I am not a member of the Taoist sect. I have only heard about the affairs of the Taoist sect. How dare I try to do something for the sect?"
Abbot Tianbao looked at Taoist priest Yiqian.
Seeing this, Mo Chuan immediately raised his hand to Taoist Yigan and asked, "Can you teach me, fellow Taoist?"
The Yiqian Taoist priests obviously already knew about "Mo Chuan"'s heel.
It is also known that he was born as a Taoist boy in Yunjiguan. He may appear to be very young, but in fact, his experience and experience are not as good as those of the country Taoists.
Thinking of the long night, we simply started chatting.
Anyway, it’s just some basic Taoist knowledge, and it doesn’t matter if everyone knows it.
But it is said in the Tao Te Ching:
Tao produces one, which produces two, two produces three, and three produces all things.
All kinds of magic in Taoism are derived from Tao.
It can be said: ever-changing, all things are unified.
What the Taoists seek is the Tao in which all dharmas are unified.
Also known as: Daoguo.
In other words, Tao is the foundation, Dharma is the branch, and technique is the tip.
Among the many Taoist techniques, the seventy-two techniques of Disha are the most famous:
There is a technique called:
【Hutian】
——Can take Xumi as mustard seed.
It is said that if you cultivate to the Mahayana realm, you can hide the universe in your sleeves and the sun and moon in your palms.
Fuluan Patriarch can draw swords out of thin air, so he must have mastered this Taoist technique.
This means that Patriarch Fuluan most likely received a Taoist inheritance.
This is also the true meaning of what Abbot Tianbao said: "One method can be found in the Tao, and one skill can be found in the method."
Of course, this is just Abbot Tianbao's guess.
However, even so, Mo Chuan still felt extremely guilty after hearing this!
'This time I'm showing off my coolness!'
For a moment, he was actually a little worried about Fuluan Guan's future.
As the saying goes: If virtue is not matched, there will be disaster.
He only hoped that Fuluan Taoist could be cautious and avoid causing trouble.
After talking about Taoism, Mo Chuan asked about the method of practice.
It should be noted that if the same Taoist technique falls into the hands of monks of different realms, its power will naturally be completely different.
Just like the art of Pot Heaven, it cannot be mastered by ordinary monks, and most of them hide some personal belongings;
If one can cultivate it with great skill, it can open up caves and create the universe.
Faced with Mo Chuan's inquiry, Taoist Yigan shook his head:
"The "Tao De Zhen" says that the Tao is easy to live, and it is tempting to follow the Dharma. Thousands of disciplines refine one's nature, and thousands of practices cultivate one's mind. There are three thousand things that are born in the sky. Choose one and practice it. The cultivation method of Tao is as vast as the stars, it is difficult to say. Hard to say."
Mo Chuan wanted to inquire about the "Secret Method of Chaozhen Worship" he practiced, but after thinking about it carefully, he decided not to do it.
Taoism pays great attention to inheritance, how can it be easy to teach?
Unless he becomes a disciple!
He didn't care about this, he was just afraid that the Taoist priests would not accept it.
As his thoughts were flowing, he simply asked Abbot Tianbao about Buddhism.
"What? Fellow Taoist, you want to switch to Buddhism?"
"Isn't it possible?"
"Hahaha, it's all practice, why not? Zen Buddhism can lead the Buddha to the Tao. Taoist friends, it's not impossible to lead the Tao to the Buddha. Maybe, this is also one of the three thousand avenues of the universe."
Abbot Tianbao had a meaningful look on his face.
Mo Chuan's heart moved, and he vaguely guessed what Abbot Tianbao meant, and he was afraid that he had some idea of coveting the Taoist teachings of Yunji Guan.
"I don't know how to practice Buddhism?" Mo Chuan asked, as if he didn't let the eagle fly before he saw the rabbit.
"It depends on what kind of gender the fellow Taoist is?"
"Caste?" Mo Chuan subconsciously thought of his third brother.
"Buddhism is boundless and can only help those who are destined to it."
Under Abbot Tianbao's explanation, Mo Chuan finally clarified some aspects of the Buddha's body.
Unlike Daomen, there are three thousand avenues to choose from.
The Buddha wants to cultivate the Dharmakaya, which has five natures, namely:
The caste nature of ordinary people, the caste nature of Sravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, the caste nature of Bodhisattva, the caste nature of Tathagata, and the caste nature of heretics.
Caste determines future fruition status!
For example, Bodhisattva's caste nature and the highest fruit status are Bodhisattvas.
However, Abbot Tianbao also said that caste nature can be transformed with the advancement of Buddhism.
Mo Chuan asked what kind of gender Abbot Tianbao was?
Abbot Tianbao replied: Ordinary caste.
Yes, this so-called caste transformation is probably not a word of comfort! Even if it is not, it is probably as difficult as climbing to the sky.
Back to topic.
After determining the caste nature, one can "initiate the first fruition direction".
There are two directions here: "The Hinayana enters concentration" and the "Mahayana enters concentration".
The Hinayana ends at the Arhat state.
Mahayana, that’s great, you can practice Buddhism.
However, Mahayana is not that easy to cultivate.
The limitation of caste is one of them. After cultivating to the tenth level of faith, you have to return from minor to major. Then you can practice Hinayana again, which is extremely complicated.
The more Mo Chuan listened, the more dizzy he became, thinking, let's practice Taoism!
However, he still asked: "May I ask the Master, what is the caste of Pindao?"
"Heterosexuality!"
To be continued...
