1.93 Ancient Qiang hanging coffin

Liu Bei couldn't believe what he saw with his own eyes.

Turning back and asking, "Run away?"

"It's indeed running away." The queen nodded slightly.

"How is that possible?" Liu Bei pointed his back finger at the center of his eyebrows: "How can he survive by piercing the skull with one arrow?"

"There is a folk proverb that 'an abnormality is a monster'. There must be something strange about this. Why not chase after you and find out what's going on?" The queen comforted softly.

"It's reasonable." Liu Bei then called people to check.

A team of embroidered clothes was looking for the uphill and gradually approached Maiji Mountain.

In a moment, an embroidered official returned: "Your lord, the beast fled like a mountain."

"It can be seen clearly." Liu Bei asked. The mountain of wheat was like a group of wheat standing upright. The mountain was steep, how could snow wolf climb up?

"The traces are obvious, so there will be no mistakes." The embroidered clerk also felt that this was strange.

"Go and look at it." Seeing is true.

Liu Bei really wants to see the snow wolf who can climb rocks.

Everyone climbed up the gentle slope along the snow paths that the embroidered horse team bent out, and slowly approached Maiji Mountain.

Looking up at the snow-covered mountaintops, Liu Bei was puzzled and turned over and dismounted.

When I walked into the mountain rock, I saw claw marks.

The claw marks climbed the uneven rocks on the cliff, winding upwards, disappearing from the reflective light that is within reach of sight.

The wheat-climbing mountain is relatively high at only more than 60 feet. However, surrounded by mountains, I suddenly saw a lonely peak standing upright, like a crane standing tall in the flock of chickens. I should be the focus of everyone.

"Go up and look." How could Liu Bei give up?

With the order from King Ji, there was an embroidered official who was good at flying eaves and walls, who took off his clothes and armor. He wore winter military uniforms, wore eagle claws (finger) covers, tiger palms (shoes), tied flying dragon claws, and flew onto the cliff. He moved like a spirit monkey, climbed up all the way and went straight to the top of the mountain.

After crossing the reflective part of the mountainside, I exclaimed: "Lord, there are stone caves on most of the top of the mountain."

As mentioned earlier, most of it is close to three-fifths of the top of the mountain.

"Maijishi Cave." Liu Bei couldn't help but think of the Maiji Grottoes that were famous all over the world in later generations. But time was obviously wrong. Nowadays, Buddhism has just been introduced to the Central Plains and has not yet risen. Let alone prosperity. It is impossible for someone to dig the caves here with great fanfare.

In addition, in terms of depth, grottoes are more likely to be deeper than stone caves. The so-called deep caves and shallow caves do not match the depth. Liu Bei asked loudly: "Can there be other things inside?"

"There is an ancient coffin." The embroidered clothes on the cliff replied.

"Ancient coffin?" Liu Bei was even more stunned. Who actually placed the coffin of his ancestors high in a cliff and cave? Such strange burial customs are by no means Han people who pay attention to "being buried in the soil and being at peace".

"Lord, this cliff is a tomb of ancestors. Or... 'hanging coffin burial'!"

Liu Bei heard that a few foreign races had the tradition of "hanging coffins". Later generations also had the legend of "hanging coffins by a man".

"Don't move lightly!" Liu Bei said, "Put the rope quickly."

"Here!" The embroidered clothes officer fixed his flying claws and threw down the rope. Then the embroidered clothes officer under the cliff locked the mountain pulleys around his waist and flew up. Soon, the second steel wire rope was immediately dropped.

"Bring armor." Liu Bei reminded.

"Here!" The embroidered official then carried the armor of the man who had climbed first on his body.

Following a troop of embroidered clothes, he climbed to the stone cave one after another. When the cliff was on, gravel fell off. After a moment, he heard another scream: "Lord, there are many stone caves on the cliff. He was blocked with gravel and mud. The color is the same as the cliff, and it is unrecognizable!"

In other words, the hanging coffin stone cave is excavated in front and the Buddhist cave is excavated in the back.

These two things can be related.

He signaled everyone to wait here. With doubts, Liu Bei wanted to climb the stone cave to see it.

Shi Huan led the embroidered clothing officer and protected him from the side.

"Master, be careful." The queen told me softly.

"Brother, be careful." Guan and Zhang also reminded.

"Be careful, don't be careless." Liu Bei then climbed up the rope.

Mai Jishan said whether it was high or not, or whether it was low or not. When he climbed the stone cave and leaned down to look, he felt that it was dangerous.

"Lord." He first climbed the embroidered clothes and had already put on his armor and led Liu Bei into the depths of the stone cave: "The stone caves were originally connected to each other, but were covered by a wall. Therefore, they were shallow."

A stone wall made of gravel and mud has been broken into cracks by many embroidered clothes officers.

"It must be crushed and blocked by the gravel that was cut into stone caves." The embroidered official said, "As aware of the wind, I found a crack in the stone wall. Try to break it, but it turned out that it was hollow behind the wall."

Liu Bei nodded gently. Because there was a crack on the gravel wall first, it caused the air to flow, and then the embroidered clothes officer discovered it.

The stone ** is placed in an ancient coffin, but there is a unique world behind it. In other words, the ancient coffin placed in the stone cave is just a cover-up.

Liu Bei had already seen it before. The ancient coffin was made of a whole section of large wood, made of (kū zhì, cut off the large wood, making it empty). The rock paintings painted with stone caves are also in line with the ancient style.

Maijishan is located in Qin. The Qin people set up the "Fanshi Pass" to guard the Weishui River Valley not far away.

However, the burial system of hanging coffins is not owned by the Qin people.

Could it be that the tomb here is even longer than the Qin people.

"Open the coffin." Liu Bei took the breath mask in his hand and signaled everyone to open the coffin.

"Here!" Shi Huan and others put on breathing masks and worked together to remove the lid of the coffin.

The craftsmanship of stewing wood is mostly seen in our ancestors. For example, canoes were made of a whole large wood and dug. This coffin is also similar. The only difference is that the logs are first opened from three-fifths to horizontally. Most of the stewing wood is made into a coffin, and the remaining half is carved into a coffin lid. This way, it is tightly tucked, like the beginning of the whole wood.

The great Han Dynasty regarded high as the ultimate aesthetic. But I don’t know if it was influenced by the ancestors here.

Later generations explained the cause of the hanging coffin burial system. There is a sentence that "those who are more noble think they are the most filial." In short, some ancestors believed that burying their ancestors high and close to the sky to do their best. This is a manifestation of filial piety. I don't know whether it echoes "the immortals have a good house to live in."

Let’s think about the custom of resting and burying An when the restaurant An in Luoyang was buried, and the construction of the Babylonian Tower from later generations. Liu Bei felt that the ancestors of ancient times, not as they thought, were isolated from the world. Perhaps, a long time ago, humans scattered around the world had communication and contact.

The coffin lid slowly moved. Liu Bei's wild thoughts reunited.

"This is..." In the coffin, an ancient mummy wearing a bone mask and a black bird feathered robe was displayed.

"Lord, this is a Qiang man and Wu Zhu's coffin." Then there was a man who embroidered clothes and could tell at a glance.

"Wu Zhu's Coffin." Wu Zhu's identity is not difficult to see through. Liu Bei looked at it carefully and then asked: "How do you know that he is a Qiang person?"

"The burial of the hanging coffin was born, and it was said that the ancestors of the Qiang people were descendants of Dayu. Dayu led the people to control the flood, and his achievements were higher than the world. After Xia Yu passed away, the Xia people hung their bodies in the hanging coffin on the cliff. Since then, the Qiang people have followed this method and used burials to hang coffins. In order to hang their bodies in the air and their souls ascend to the sky. They have obtained supreme divine power and protect their descendants."

"So that's it." Liu Bei nodded slightly: "Cover the coffin."

"Here!"

The original seal was not moved, and the coffin overlapped. Liu Bei ordered people to break the wall.

Shi Huan said, "The cemetery of the ancestors is long and I am afraid of using witchcraft. The lord's body of a thousand gold coins should not be easily taken advantage of."

Liu Bei replied: "What Gong Liu said is very true. However, now that things have come to this point, I am really uneasy to not break the mystery of the snow wolf."
